  • Bran CastleDracula Castle, Romania
This national monument of the country is also known as Draculas Castle; the fortress is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. It is believed that the ruler of Wallachia spent a few days in this castles dungeon, when Ottomans were ruling the city. The castle contains some wonderful collection of antique furniture, household objects and customs, which are exhibited in an open air ethnographic museum.

So as to protect the important buildings and the churches of 13th to 16th centuries, from invasions, German Saxon had constructed huge protective walls around it, which are residing in Transylvanias beautiful villages. The six Dacian Fortresses of the Oraștie Mountains of Iron Age were built between 1st Centuries B.C. and A.D. by the Dacians. The motive behind the construction of such fortress was to give protection to the city against Roman invasions. These well preserve remains present an ideal picture of the innovative ancient civilization. The six fortresses that once were used as defensive system are Sarmizegetusa Regia, Costesti-Blidaru, Costesti-Cetaţuie, Piatra Rosie, Baniţa and Capalna.
  • Danube Delta
Danube Delta is the 2nd largest and the best preserved delta in Europe after the Volga Delta. The delta brings more than 300 species of birds and 45 freshwater fish species in every year. It has been originated from the Danube River, which is considered one of the last natural paradises in Europe. The delta now has been listed in the UNESCO Reservation of the Biosphere because of its unique features and a wide variety of flora and fauna.
